Isleworth, recognized as Orlando’s most exclusive golf community, is seeking experienced Aquatics Specialist for immediate employment. 

General Summary:

To further the mission of Isleworth Country Club culture through the planning and delivery of activities at the water venues that are safe, or instructional. Provide expertise to the physical operation of the club waterfront and club pool facilities and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and implementation of pool activities with Youth Manager, including input on purchasing and maintaining aquatic supplies and equipment.
  • Be familiar with American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim levels/curriculum or other nationally recognized water safety/swim lesson curriculum and know how to use course materials effectively.                                                                                                           
  • Provide individual instruction for varying ages                                                   
  • Promote a safe and positive environment to all swimmers and staff.        
  • Educate swimmers on proper technique and promote swimmer safety.    
  • Design individualized programs to meet the community members’ interests, abilities and goals.       
  • Handle immediate pool related behavioral problems and address in a timely manner with Youth Manager.            
  • Check equipment and schedule or make repairs   
  • Create lesson plans that meets camp goals           
  • Conduct swim tests as required.     
  • Submit and maintain skill sheets, lesson logs and attendance information   
  • Provide for the health and safety of swimmers, including ensuring that all teaching and practice areas are free of hazards and that materials and equipment are safe.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of pools and equipment.        
  •  Attend mandatory meetings and trainings as scheduled.       
  • Serve as a liaison between community members and Youth Manager     
  • Reports and follows-up at the end of the summer on how successful program was and implements future goals while reflecting on year-round curriculum.  
  • Conduct initial and end of season inventory and store equipment for safety  
  • Complete additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:         

  • Current lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor (WSI), first aid, adult CPR/AED certification required. 
  • Previous swim instruction experience required.  
  • Proficient in swimming strokes – front crawl, back crawl, sidestroke, breaststroke and elementary backstroke.  
  • Knowledge of and ability to demonstrate skills in lessons instruction and use teaching aids such as kickboards, diving rings, pull buoys, etc. 
  • Ability to work independently.
