Estimator (Sign Industry)

Job DescriptionGrowing, commercial sign company in the Orlando area is looking for an estimator! The position entails receiving and analyzing bid documents and blueprints from clients, and full fabrication shop drawings from our designs. We use Cyrious Control software to write up our contracts. You will be working directly with our salesmen and this software (training provided, experience preferred). The perfect candidate is someone who will make sure all contracts are priced to meet the client's expectations as well as covers all labor, materials, overhead costs and to keep us profitable! You will also be responsible for handling some smaller in-house accounts and walk-ins, so experience in the sign industry is preferred. On large sign projects you will need to identify the scope of the work to be done, parts, labor, material and time requirements given in bid documents, blueprints, specifications and related documents provided and determine whether our company should bid on the project! By keeping a cost database and collecting information as you go from prior jobs you should be able to effectively estimate new projects. You will present prepared estimates by assembling pricing and descriptive information into Cyrious Control software. As the estimator, you will be the in-between on several levels and will need to be in constant communication with the client, the salesmen, the design team and vendors. Position Requirements (Please read) Must be able to read construction blueprints and spec sheets to estimate direct labor and material costs on projects. Have at least 2 years experience and be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the sign industry, preferred, within the construction industry, required. Proficiency with computers is required, knowledge of Cyrious Control Estimating software is a plus, but a full training on program will be provided. Must be able to manage time and balance multiple responsibilities without supervision. Must reside locally and have reliable transportation.
