Job Summary:
The Vice President of Human Resources is the relationship driver for the Human Resources Team and fosters relationships within every department of Iconic Group. This professional oversees and is competent in all aspects of HR, including benefits, compensation, recruitment, wellness, employee relations, training and development. Performs at a high level all the basic functions of HR and serves as a liaison to the Executive Team. The Vice President of Human Resources and HR team are key players within every department, serving internal clients with excellence and maintaining a professional department that provides essential help and resources where needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates competency in all aspects of HR, including benefits, compensation, recruitment, wellness, employee relations, training and development.
- Responsible for all aspects of the Human Resources’ operational policies, objectives and initiatives.
- Performs at a high level all the basic functions of HR and serves as a liaison to the Executive Team.
- Directs the attainment of short-term and long-term goals and is responsible for full and final budget authority.
- Serves as a key professional player within every department, serving internal clients with excellent service and resources.
- Exercises authority concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations.
- Keeps current on HR laws and practices and implements changes to enhance our employees’ work life.
- Keeps current on technology skills to guide in the development and implementation of new processes.
- Strategically oversees the health plan and other benefits to be in the best interest of the employees, yet save the organization money.
- Oversees the implementation of the training and development department.
- Perform other functions as directed or authorized by the CAO.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Minimum 7-10 years Human Resources experience
- Minimum 3 – 5 years leading and managing a team or equivalent evidence of leadership influence and managerial skills
- HR certification preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Superb communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary
- Full-time hours, Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., as well as evening or weekend work that may occasionally be required by operational necessity or extraordinary circumstances
