Reports To: Restaurant Manager
Purpose of the Position: To accurately make all drinks for lounge customers, cocktail servers and food servers while proceeding guest with courteous, professional and efficient service and quality-made beverages.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Perform any reasonable request as assigned or directed by management
- Provide for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules
- Arrange for reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities

- Comply with all applicable federal state, and local laws and ordinances as they apply to the hotel guest and employees
- Must completely familiar with all the different kinds of liquor, recipes and prices of drinks proper glassware and garnishes
- Accurately prepare daily requisitions, as necessary; to ensure the bar stock is up to par at all times
- Promote and up sell liquor and food
- Efficiently enforce the red line system with no exceptions
- Make sure all beverages leaving the bar are accounted for on a servers check, as well as own
- Follow guidelines established in regards to age identification for suspected minor and dealing with intoxicated guest
- Be formally trained regarding liquor within 30 days of employment and every 2 years thereafter
- Be familiar with accurate cash handling procedures to include proper discounting, MICROS system (or register) bank procedures and tip policies
- Observe proper sanitation and cleanliness procedures
GENERAL DUTIES

- Implement management company and hotel’s safety and emergency policy and procedure (i.e. evacuation, first aid, etc) to include removing all safety hazards, following company’s OSHA HAZCOM program and safe lifting techniques
- Utilize protective equipment, when applicable
- Promptly report substandard (unsafe) conditions to supervisor
- Promptly report accidents, injuries, property damage or loss to supervisor
- Keeps communication flowing freely among all departments
- Inform management promptly of any work-related problems or guest complaints
- Practice “CARE hospitality” and provide guest satisfaction
- Promote the hotel through goodwill, courtesy and a positive attitude
- Attend all schedule training classes and meetings
- Train other employees as directed by management

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- Accurately memorized drinks, ingredients and garnishes
- Understand and efficiently and accurately operate MICROS system
- TIPS Certified preferred
- Must be flexible enough to work any shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience preferred in hospitality business
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Able to communicate accurately and effectively in verbal and written form with guest and employee as to respond accurately and completely to people to give directions, instructions, information answers question and provide services as required
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Use arithmetic to accurately check totals and make correct changes in accordance with management company’s accounting and credit policies and procedures
REASONING ABILITY
- Memorize the Bar menu, specials of the day and special promotions
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Use of hands to lift, carry, or pull objects up to 25 lbs
- Perform routine work and or the same task over and over again
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear
- The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; and use hands to finger; handle, or feel
