We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, highly motivated, action oriented leader to cater to a diverse population and provide staff leadership in the areas of wellness, group exercise, and personal training.  S/he will be challenged to provide a successful track record in fiscal management and the execution of innovative wellness programs with an emphasis on member engagement and connections. This individual will service on the Family Center leadership team as well as on the Association / corporate wellness leadership initiatives. Critical competencies include – Strong wellness technology experience including; Technogym and MyWellness Cloud, staff management, outcome and standards measurement, membership engagement and fiscal management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required in wellness, fitness or related field of study preferred.
  • ACSM, NSCA, CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in wellness programming, member engagement and wellness technology (Technogym highly preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in staff supervision and leadership preferred, including supervision of multiple departments and / or management level employees.
  • Minimum 3 years senior management experience in overseeing wellness, group exercise, personal training programs is essential, YMCA experience preferred.
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal, public relations and communication skills.
  • Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and various fitness and wellness applications required; Oracle and Technogym experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to train, mentor and develop staff.
  • Demonstrated skills in fundraising, public relations and programming for wellness initiatives.
