Supply Clerk

The Orange County Sheriff's Office in Orlando, Florida invites applicants to apply for the position of Supply Clerk.

Job Summary:

Receives, stores, and issues uniforms, equipment, materials, forms, supplies, packages, and compiles stock records in warehouse.

Qualifications:

• At least 18 years of age
• U.S. Citizen or possess a current permanent resident card
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Clean criminal history; any arrest history will be individually evaluated.
• No illegal drug usage within the past two years, all other usage will be evaluated on an individual basis
• Valid Florida Driver’s License and a good driving history. Must attend and successfully complete the agency sponsored Law Enforcement Vehicle Operations (LEVO) Training if assignment includes driving agency vehicle. Use of agency vehicle would require appropriate driving history and passing agency biennial driver’s physical exam.
• Ability to move or transport material or supplies to other departments; operate equipment such as fork lifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts and shrink wrapper; and ensure proper functioning of supply vehicles and equipment. Must successfully complete Forklift Certification training provided through the agency.
• Must have basic computer skills to include using word processing, email, spreadsheets, and database applications (e.g., Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work irregular hours/shifts to include days, weeknights, holidays, and weekends in order to meet department operational needs.

• Selected candidate must be able to pass a physical exam.

Salary Range: $11.63/hour or $12.22/hour with 3+ years of experience
