Installation Technician - Security Alarm

BCI Integrated Solutions is seeking a Security Technician to install and service commercial security, access control, CCTV, and surveillance systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and configure access control, security, intrusion alarm, closed circuit television, camera systems, fire and other various security related systems.
• Evaluates, diagnoses, troubleshoots, re-configures, and tests equipment and devices associated and repairs as necessary.
• Performs upgrades and additions to systems in order to increase functionality and usability.
• Assists on installation projects as needed.
• Performs service tasks required to fulfill service requirements.
• Read and understand drawings and prints to install the correct equipment in the correct locations.
• Provides technical support with programming and hardware support to other technicians, management and sales force.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:

• Must have knowledge of fire and electrical codes to ensure safe and proper installation of alarm systems and devices.
• Must be able to read technical documents, drawings and prints.
• Working knowledge of the NEC and electrical/electronic calculations.
• 1-2 years working in electronics, basic electric circuit troubleshooting (working knowledge of Ohms law).
• Electronics and troubleshooting skills required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Must be able to climb ladders and carry a backpack of 50+ pounds unassisted.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:

• 2 year degree resulting in an Associate’s or Technical degree or Equivalent in electronics or related field
• NICET Certification
• FASA BASA
• Software House Certification
• Avigilon Certification
• Axis Certification
• Lenel Certification
