Maintenance Technician

Carlisle Construction Materials,a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an immediate opening for aMaintenance Technician, at its Insulfoam Lakeland, FL location. This position will be responsible for assuring that the facilities and production equipment are properly maintained. Primary responsibilities are to repair and minimize down time while at the same time performing all the tasks in a safe manner with quality as a major objective. Obey all required PPE and safety rules while performing required tasks. Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisor of repair Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment according to specific procedures Install, replace or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes or hoists Record production, repair and machine maintenance information Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations Transport machine parts, tools, equipment and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists or dollies. Collect and discard worn machine parts and other refuse in order to maintain machinery and work areas. Clean machines and maintain parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment. High school diploma/GED is required. Candidates must have least 3 years of experience in a maintenance technician position, as well as knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and repairing of production equipment including: 480v 3phase electric to 24vdc and communication wiring, working knowledge of PLC s, ladder logic and relay logic, VFD motors/controls, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, boilers and pipefitting. General mechanical skills and schematic/blueprint reading necessary. Welding experience a plus.
