Job Description Kitchen Designer/ Sales Associate Reports To: Store Manager Location: 6256 Cypress Gardens Blvd, Winter Haven FL, 33884 General Purpose The primary responsibility of a Cabinet Designer/ Salesperson is to design and sell cabinets and countertops to clients. The Cabinet Designer/ Salesperson must possess interment knowledge of cabinetry and know how to design in such a way as to maximize functionality and aesthetics for the client s space. This position requires a high level of initiative, creativity, superb communication skills, and frequently exercises independent judgment.Competencies GregariousCommunicationDesign and Style MindedDriven for ResultsPlanning and Organization Observant Job Duties CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE Identifies and responds promptly to Customer needs, providing solutions based on product knowledge and kitchen design experience. Provides a consistent and fulfilling Customer experience throughout the ENTIRE project. Establishes and maintains relationships with walk-in Customers, Home Builders, Designers, Remodelers and Trade Professionals to increase sales growth and repeat business. Works closely with customers, installers, and co-workers (including flooring sales, job superintendent, and job scheduler) throughout the project to make certain that the project flows proficiently. Resolve Customer problems involving merchandise, design questions, product returns, etc. Maintains a positive and professional attitude when dealing with clients issues any all circumstances. TEAM Establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers. Closely follow direction and guidance of Store Manager. Promotes a fun, caring and safe work environment with co-workers. Creates an open and professional environment of exchanging information. Communicates clearly and effectively both verbally and in written format and maintains the company s confidentiality practices. Possess strong Interpersonal Skills to include: Listening and Conflict Resolution. Communicates with appropriate co-workers on the scheduling of jobs, and works directly with the Field Supervisors to ensure that Customer projects are completed in a timely manner. OPERATIONS Closes sales quickly and effectively. Follows the sales process for every transaction, using computer software. Collects payments from Customer before the project is completed. Drives to and Field measures each job-site before ordering product. Creates cabinet designs using 20/20 Design software based on the budget established with the Customer, and does so in timely manner. Maintains showroom by keeping samples and displays neat, current and clean. Perform other related assigned duties. Prospecting for new business. Essential Qualifications 3-5 years equivalent cabinetry/ design experience retail preferred. Interior Design degree or NKBA Certification. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to speak effectively. Excellent time management skills. Ability to work a minimum of 45 hours per week, based upon the business needs of the store. Ability to work weekends, holidays and evenings. Ability to travel as required. Efficient in 20/20 Design software. Understands the basic fundamentals of kitchen and bath design. Agree to a Criminal Background Check Current Driver s License Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move 45 pounds or more on a regular basis. Ability to climb ladders Ability to lift and move bulky merchandise on a regular basis Ability to stoop, bend, climb and lift to stock and retrieve merchandise from stockroom and sales floor on a regular basis.
