We have our Insulfoam division housed in our facility and the opportunity to learn and grow is available for our employees.The Production Supervisor is responsible for the production and output for Insulfoam. Provides direction for 10 - 40 production employees in a manufacturing facility with the assistance of lead workers or Supervisors. Plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. The incumbent directly supervises production leads and production employees.Typical working hours are Monday - Friday 3:30pm - 1:00am with flexibility to run earlier or later pending the activity schedules of the department.Primary Job Responsibilities:Directs and supervises the daily activities of the production, shipping and maintenance functions of facility, delegating responsibilities as necessary, to attain goals and objectives in each area. Ensures personnel are trained to perform standard work.Schedules production by reviewing shop drawings in detail to determine ship date commitments, labor and material requirements.Perform administrative tasks such as: payroll, writing and giving performance reviews, creating and maintaining performance measurement reports with accuracy.Ensures compliance with the company s safety programs through leading by example, performing audits and conducting and monitoring training.Ensures effective employee relations by providing employee coaching and development. Work with the Operations Management and Human Resources to make employment decisions, and resolve employee issues.Works in team with other management to continually improve processes such as production flow, safety and quality standards and utilization of materials.Conducts periodic cycle counts and physical inventories to maintain accurate inventory levels.Responsible for quality assurance ensuring both results and associated documentation are maintained. Point of contact for third-party quality control organizations for quarterly audits.Qualifications:Education Bachelor s Degree in operations, manufacturing, engineering, business or other technical area strongly preferredPrevious supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing settingPrior experience in operations research/process flow and scheduling department workStrong problem analysis and resolution skillsExperience using SAP and Microsoft Office applicationsStrong communication skills and proven ability to lead people and get results from othersPrior experience with Lean Manufacturing and 5sUnderstand fundamentals of coaching, counseling, and feedbackStrong problem analysis and resolution skillsComprehension/understanding of reading, speaking, and math skillsAbility to measure performance of standards and goalsEfficient problem solving skills and ability to work in stressful work situationsPhysical Demands:This position performs activities that require sitting, standing, walking, climbing, sight and hearing, stooping, bending, and being able to push, pull, lift, and lower up to 50 pounds.Carlisle Construction Materials offers a competitive benefits package which includes 401k, medical/dental/prescription drug, and life insurance, flex spending, educational assistance, holiday and vacation pay.
