Accounting Assistant

Job DescriptionRESPONSIBILITIES Code invoices and subcontractor payment requests to job cost. Match invoices to purchase orders or subcontracts. Process and pay all invoices. Process certain vendors on a "pay-when-paid" basis. Maintain subcontractor/vendor files and COI. Obtain lien releases from subcontractors and vendors. Code and process credit card statements. Perform payroll and other accounting functions on a backup basis. Perform occasional administrative functions as needed. REQUIREMENTS Bookkeeping, data entry, accounts payable, and payroll experience. Related business school classes preferred. Previous construction and job cost accounts payable experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of relevant computer applications. Ability to perform with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong organizational and problem solving skills. Good communication skills. Ability to exercise confidentiality.
