Description
Ensure that client referrals are assigned to clinicians quickly and appropriately. Check Medicaid eligibility for incoming referrals within 24 hours of receipt. For referrals that are Medicaid ineligible, contact families in order to secure other funding. Follow up with referral source via telephone when more information is needed in a timely manner. Enter new referrals into the client database, update information to “pending” when assigned, and “deadfile” when staff notify of this. Fax to referral source a confirmation of referral receipt, funding problems, and notification of case assignment in a timely manner. File referrals into appropriate binders in a timely manner. Follow HIPAA and IMPOWER policies regarding confidentiality of client records. Communicate with the Program Manager regarding liability issues or other significant events.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required. Associates degree preferred. Experience working in a dependency or mental health setting.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish required.
- Successful background screenings through local law enforcement, FDLE, Local Law Enforcement and FBI Level 2 Screenings.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License and current auto insurance, and successful motor vehicle driving record backgrounds checks.
- Excellent customer service skills
