Successful candidate will ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, human resources requirements, and pertinent government legislation. Also, in partnership with hiring managers, will staff vacancies; manage assigned staffing-related processes (job postings, background check process, employment-related communications). In addition, will provide leadership for campus events, performance management and other assigned HR initiatives. Varied responsibilities include: 

Compliance and HR Policies

  • Maintain knowledge of Human Resources policies, programs, laws and issues. Ensure campus-wide compliance with policies and labor laws. Review and approve recommendations for exceptions to company policies
  • Develop, implement and update campus-wide policies and programs to meet company expectations and legal requirements
  • Partner with Senior Benefits & HR Administrator on matters related to the I-9 process, leaves of absence, workers compensation and employee record-keeping
  • Provide advice on Orlando-based employee relations and policy matters. Participate in resolution of employee relations issues with appropriate HR staff, internal and external legal counsel, and others as required

Recruiting & Pre-Employment Processes

  • In partnership with hiring managers, develop job descriptions; source, screen, schedule and conduct interviews and make hiring recommendations for temporary and full time requirements.
  • Post jobs internally and externally
  • Develop and maintain relationships with staffing companies; ensure staffing agreements are consistently executed in alignment with company expectations
  • Maintain communications related to recruiting: offer letter templates, employment application, candidate correspondence
  • Maintain relationship(s) with background check provider(s)
  • Manage background check process; assess eligibility for hire if results require review; ensure consistency across Orlando campus
  • Periodically assess background check standards and recommend changes if appropriate

Campus Events

  • Provide strategic direction, guidance and support for campus events to ensure activities meet expectations
  • Actively participate in events
  • Manage events calendar

Performance Management

  • In partnership with People Development & Planning team, manage the performance management process
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Related Bachelor’s Degree
  • SHRM certification preferred
  • Seven – ten years of related human resources experience with at least 5 years of experience in staffing and compliance, preferably in an international organization
  • Strong communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to build and maintain relationships; ability to influence at all levels
  • Broad business knowledge; sound business judgment
  • Strong initiative; strong analytical skills

  • Ability to effectively influence others in a global environment

Current US work authorization is required.
