Job Title: Receptionist / PBX
Department: Guest Services
Reports To: Guest Services Director
The Receptionist / PBX is the primary point of contact for incoming calls to Give Kids The World Village as well as welcoming visitors and guests who are meeting staff located on the second floor of the Towne Hall building.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support communication with all departments by identifying and communicating any and all items needing attention.
- Relay radio messages as needed
- Answer all incoming phone calls and direct to the appropriate person or department
- Greet all visitors and guests in a professional manner
- Adhere to standards for quality, efficiency, and productivity
- Complete general Guest Service administrative duties
- Maintain Outlook calendar reservations for the conference room space on property (SW, WDW, Universal, HOH, and GOH)
- Process all Guest Service outgoing mail on a daily basis
PHYSICAL DEMANDS BEYOND NORMAL OFFICE ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to lift and move boxes or cartons weighing up to 30 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIFIC SKILLS:
- Ability to communicate, understand, speak, read, and write English to communicate with departments, volunteers, guests, vendor participants, etc.
- PC skills including Microsoft Office {Outlook, Word, Excel)
- In House System – RAVEN
- Decisive and creative problem solving skills
- Flexibility to meet the needs of guests, staff, volunteers, participants, etc.
- Must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Must have High School Diploma
- At least 1+ years of previous guest services experience (hotel/resort preferable)
