Overview: The Provider Relations Credentialing Coordinator reports tothe Manager of Credentialing and is responsible for the credentialingverification of all JSA Healthcare employed primary care providers along withacting as a department liaison to the hospital(s) and health plan(s)credentialing.
Essential Functions: Consistentlyexhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate HealthCare Partners(HCP) commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care andconcern with internal and extern customers.
Generatesreports as requested via the credentialing system software (SyMed, OneApp).
Participates in departmentprojects as assigned.
Entersand verifies data in the Credentialing system with a high degree of accuracy,efficiency, and dependability Followsup with providers to ensure credentialing applications are returned completeand submitted timely.
Performsmonthly queries, updates expired licenses, DEA s and malpractice certificationsfor providers and office locations.
Independentlytake on administrative and credentialing duties that include completingcredentialing applications in full for providers, tracking credentialingstatus, assisting with primary source verification Maintainscompetencies and knowledge of current regulatory rules around Medicare andMedicaid applications, hospital applications, and ancillary clinicianapplication requirements.
Typingcorrespondence, copying, faxing, filing, training other team members.
Occasionalback up receptionist duties required.
Performsother duties as assigned Education: Minimum One to twoyears of post-high school education; Associates degree preferred CertifiedProfessional Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) a plus.
Experience: Minimum 2 years health plan experience required Knowledge in CAQH, NPDB, PECOS a must.
Hospital experience and / or former Provider Relationsexperience a plus.
Proficient administrative experience a must.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must be proficient in MicrosoftOffice (Access/Excel/Word) and internet searches.
Access database experience a plus.
Knowledge of NCQA Credentialingstandards Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively as ateam.
Ability to read, write, speak, andunderstand the English language fluently Ability to communicate effectivelygets along with coworkers and management, and deal effectively andprofessionally under pressure.
Ability to establish and maintaineffective working relationships with medical staff and credentialingpersonnel.
Must be comfortable speaking withall levels of management.
Valid Florida driver s license andthe ability to commute.
