Enterprise Florida is seeking a professional, detail-oriented person to develop, coordinate and implement marketing events to deliver organizational goals. These event activations will provide opportunities to engage with CEOs, Site Selection consultants and industry leaders focused on future business development and expansion.
The Marketing Manager must be able to multi-task and handle several projects in different stages throughout the planning timeline; maintain registration databases; send out event invitations using event management software; simultaneously work with multiple vendors, team members, agency points of contact and partners on all elements related to Team Florida events.
Although event management will be the major focus for the Marketing Manager, there will also be opportunities to broaden the scope of responsibilities to support a variety of marketing and communication initiatives related to the overall brand advertising campaign.
As the Enterprise Florida Marketing Manager, you can expect to perform the following types of activities:
- Brainstorm unique, ROI-driven concepts with the team for upcoming in and out-of-state events
- Develop the strategy for an event and working with multiple vendors, team members, partners and an agency to implement it seamlessly
- Creating and communicating out an event plan before meeting with executive team and event attendees on event flow
- Building a campaign and sending an e-invitation through Cvent (online event planning software) to a guest list
- Communicating with internal teams to make sure event guest lists are developed properly with the right key contacts
- Managing last minute items/changes relative to event logistics, guest needs, etc.
- Creating and working within an approved event budget that involves multiple layers of funding sources
- Identify and communicating with the team on opportunities to integrate the brand campaign throughout the event
- Collaborating across departments to ensure event schedules are in line with team schedules, as well as other company activities
- Work remotely with vendors and partners to secure event venues and other event-related details
- Work collectively with the team and accounting on the budget parameters for the event, and seeking approvals for invoicing and payment process
- Operating as the event point of contact onsite for vendors, partners and the internal team(s)
- Getting anything and everything done to ensure the event is successful
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, marketing or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in coordinating over-lapping corporate events in multiple markets
- Good understanding of database management and how it relates to events
- Advanced skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database management
- Must have experience with Cvent or other event management software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Meeting Planner / Certified Meeting Professional
- Experience in Salesforce or another CRM software
- Business-to-Business marketing experience
- Experience in working with an agency or third party vendors
Travel Requirements:
- 25% travel within the state and across the U.S. to handle on-site day of event logistics.

Not applicable for this position.
Accountability – Impact and Scope:
Responsible for developing event budgets, obtaining budget approval, managing vendor contracts and providing ROI evaluation following events.
