Director of Facilities - Floridays Resort

Great career opportunity for a resort hotel maintenance Chief Engineer to join Floridays Orlando Resort managed by Paramount Hospitality Management (PHM), a dynamic, growth-oriented hotel management company.  PHM is a successful full-service management organization for hotels, resorts, condo-hotels, vacation ownership and a combination of mixed-use.   This position is for an EXPERIENCE HOTEL RESORT MAINTENANCE MANAGER OR DIRECTOR. To be considered you must have 8 - 10 years recent experience working in a hotel resort as a Chief Engineering, Manager or Director of Maintenance Engineering.

The successful candidate will be dynamic, self-motivated, hands on individual. The Director of Facilities is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Department.  The Director of Facilities will also be responsible for the administrative, financial and operating aspects of the hotel as they relate to engineering maintenance. 

Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following: 

• Guest satisfaction by ensuring maintenance service and loss-prevention standards are met and guests' needs are responded to in a timely manner. 
• Resolve guests' complaints and concerns in a courteous and friendly manner, focuses on service recovery when applicable 
• Knowledge and experience in plumbing, electric and HVAC repairs with minimal assistance or supervision. 
• Perform preventative maintenance of all aspects of units, common areas and grounds as required. 
• Monitor and repair HVAC systems, water (boiler) system in living units and facilities to ensure adequate hot water supply for guests and employees. 
• Repair and/or replace doors, windows, walls, floor, ceilings, roofs, furniture, cabinetry and remodeling work as required. 
• Perform plumbing maintenance such as pipes, drains, faucets, disposals, showers and Jacuzzi tubs using methods that include soldering, brazing silver, PVC, CPVC and fittings. 
• Reset and or replace breakers, ballast and other electrical fixtures; prevent and trouble shoot possible electric hazards.

Requirements:

• 8 - 10 years Hotel Resort maintenance engineering management experience required 
• Any Licenses and/or certifications as required by law. 
• Must know how to swim. 
• Skilled in systems maintenance and repair. 
• Skilled in the proper and safe use of all tools, equipment, materials, chemicals and products related to the department. 
• Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, boilers, mechanical systems and the repair and maintenance of all mentioned
