INFECTIOUS DISEASE FACULTY OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic full-time faculty member to join our busy Infectious Disease group of 3 full-time faculty in sunny and scenic Orlando, Florida. The Orlando Health hospital complex comprises more than 1000 inpatient beds and includes Orlando Regional Medical Center, which is Central Florida’s only Level One Trauma Center, University of Florida Cancer Center, Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies, Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, and four community hospitals.

 

Facility Description:

Orlando Health is home to 265 residents and fellows, including 7 core programs, a PharmD residency, and 16 fellowships. Faculty members are also affiliated with the Florida State College of Medicine regional campus and the University Of Central Florida College Of Medicine whose students do their clerkships at Orlando Health.

 

We have a dynamic Infectious Disease Fellowship program which is currently entering into its tenth year. Our teaching curriculum is very broad-based with plenty of faculty and fellow interaction. A diverse array of patients is seen in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Call averages 1:4 weekends with the weekend workload shared between the on-call attending and fellow.

 

Opportunities for research and collaboration between departments or with the University of Central Florida are available. Involvement in Infection Control, Antibiotic Stewardship and/or Hospital Epidemiology is strongly encouraged.

 

A competitive salary is offered with the opportunity to earn bonus pay based on productivity, if desired. A comprehensive benefit package is available which includes Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and LTD, STD, and Retirement Savings.

 

Requirements:

  • A Florida license is preferred, but is not a prerequisite for application.
  • Interested individuals should be Board-certified or Board-eligible in Infectious Diseases
  • A strong background in HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Hepatitis B/C is desirable.
