Position Summary 
Responsible for delivering all project objectives for assigned projects including; scope, schedule, budget, and work product deliverables (construction plans, engineering reports, etc.).

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Monitors schedules, budgets, and manpower requirements and prepares invoices.
  • Develop Project Management Plans (PMPs) for assigned projects
  • Establish project pricing and budgets
  • Create and maintain project schedules
  • Develop and maintain project specific quality plans
  • Develop and coordinate project scope
  • Manage sub-consultants
  • Participate and or lead client presentations as required 
  • Oversee and manage assigned staff working on project
  • Manage all technical resources on the project team
  • Lead, coordinate and/or assist Section Heads, Office Managers, and Practice Leaders with marketing proposals as required
  • Participate in transportation industry meetings and forums to increase JMT’s statewide profile

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to develop a quality Letter of Response or Proposal, and deliver a winning client presentation or interview 
  • Relationships and experience with additional transportation entities, such as CFX, THEA, JTA, and municipal roadway clients

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Florida
  • 15+ years’ experience in the design and management of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) highway design and/or FDOT Design-Build projects
  • FDOT experience identified above shall include the design and management of major highway design projects, including widening of major highways and interchanges or new roadway corridors 
  • Project management and business development experience

Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment for the majority of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.

Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required as needed.
