Hotelbeds is seeking for Fully Bilingual Travel Agents for our Operations team in the Orlando, FL office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To offer a professional, courteous and friendly telephone manner at all times.
  • Respond rapidly and accurately to on-line/email requests for information
  • To effectively deal with any client issues/complaints including follow up and reporting.
  • To develop and maximize local product and destination knowledge.
  • To have strong communication skills to build strong relationships with internal and external suppliers.
  • Successfully and accurately answering client questions and provide appropriate additional information
  • Capturing accurate and legible documentation on all call activity in the system as required
  • Monitor bookings for processing of reservations, special requests, amendments, and cancellations
  • Escalate issues in accordance with the department guidelines when necessary
  • Consistently maintaining departmental standards for quality
  • To present a professional image at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be Fully Bilingual (English & Spanish and/or English & Portuguese )
  • Detail oriented and persistent in ensuring issues are resolved accurately, effectively and timely
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong customer service and listening skills
  • Ability to follow precise direction consistently without continuous supervision
  • Computer literate with intermediate to advanced level of competency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong communication and grammar skills I languages required.
  • Flexibility to work weekends schedules and overtime as required
  • Front Desk / Reservations Agent at a Hotel experience is STRONGLY PREFERRED.
  • Travel wholesale knowledge is very helpful.

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicants must have open & flexible schedules including weekends and Holidays.
  • Department Operations hours are from 8am – 8pm (subject to department needs)
  • Days off will be Sunday (subject to change based on operational needs) and a day during the week, split days off

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:  High school diploma or GED is required and at least (2) years experience in the Travel and Tourism industry – Hotel (Front Desk) experience preferable.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and emails (in languages specific). Ability to write professional correspondence, professionally and politely responding to all emails with the time restraints published by the department. We need fully bilingual candidates; must be fluent in English & Spanish and/or English & Portuguese.
