Schedule: VariedJob Summary:Coordinates and performs packaging tasks and related activities in support of the medication dispensing process.
Key Supervise all Packaging staff using the proper procedure to complete all daily packaging assignments and obtaining Pharmacist check.
Coordinate the daily packaging process including all special dispensing/ packaging situations and as specified in current policies and procedures.
Implement and monitor compliance policy and procedure to ensure all machine packaging, hand/strip/card packaging, extemporaneous packaging is completed and double check accuracy of all medications before beginning packaging process Ensure all areas of packaging are maintained clean and orderly.
Replenish packaging supplies as needed.
Maintains documentation on each medication packaged (includes quantities, lot numbers and expiration dates).
Ability to delegate and resolve workflow concerns.
Communicate with Pharmacy Manager on a routine basis.
Assist Pharmacy Manager in preparing programs, policy and projects associated with technical responsibilities.
Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
Other duties as assigned; may vary by location.
