Title:  Server

Supervisor: Food & Beverage Director

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Essential Job Functions:

  • Warmly receive members and their guests and assist in seating when manager in charge cannot

  • Check tables for cleanliness and proper set-up for that meal period

  • Make sure service stations are properly set and well stocked. All condiments must be clean and filled

  • Take food, cocktail, wine and dessert orders in the prescribed manner on form provided

  • Be knowledgeable of all food and beverage items available

  • Pick up the correct orders in a timely manner, being certain that all necessary condiments, sauces, silver, etc. are together with the order

  • Put order in kitchen or give to bartender. Explain special instructions immediately

  • Serve meal in prescribed manner which ensures the guest receives properly prepared and presented food. If in doubt, question the quality before it leaves the kitchen. If required, inform the guest of a possible delay

  • Bus their own table in the proper and quiet manner, of the all unneeded silver, glassware, china, salt and pepper shakers, etc. The table should be crumbed and prepared for dessert and coffee service

  • Total all checks with all miscellaneous items explained and presented

  • Break down and set up the dining room for the next meal period or event according to directions from Food and Beverage Director

  • Organize and review all checks according to correct accounting procedures, i.e. proper sequential order, correct point of sale and exact/correct number of covers

  • Present checks to Food and Beverage Director for final review with any and all corrections occurring at this time

  • Bring any comment, good or bad, to supervisor’s attention. Any negative comments will be handled by the supervisor only

  • Perform all other duties as assigned
