We have 70 locations throughout Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, Lake, Seminole, and Orange counties with plans for future growth. Currently, we are seeking an experienced Clinical Coordinator - LPN/RN with OBGYN experience preferred to join our dynamic team at our office located on Lawton Road in Orlando, FL.


JOB SUMMARY:   

Provides oversight of professional nursing care and daily operations following established standards and practices. Refers matters outside their scope of duties to the Physician/Provider, or Practice Administrator.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages clinical staff at each assigned location and is available for any clinical related issues that arise during patient care. 
  • In partnership with Practice Administrator, oversees initial and on-going training for clinical staff including training staff on proper techniques, clinical protocols, and adherence to organization workflow, policies and guidelines. 
  • Ensures that WCF policies and clinical guidelines and state and federal regulations are adhered to by all clinical staff.
  • Ensures compliance with WCF documentation and reporting guidelines including notifying patients of abnormal results, tracking outstanding orders and referrals, and documenting clinical notes appropriately in the electronic health record. Assists in general nursing care to patients, administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards, and aids provider during examinations, procedures, and treatment of patients as necessary.
  • Prioritizes patient safety including creating a safe clinical environment for patients in accordance with industry standards, certifications, and WCF policies.
  • Manages maintenance and inspections of equipment and the sterilization and cleaning of patient areas, equipment and instruments according to WCF guidelines and industry standards. 
  • Ensures patient recall lists are kept up to date and cleared
  • Ensures all required logs are maintained and up-to-date.
  • Attends required meetings and communicates needed information to clinical staff.
  • Ensures supplies and medications are ordered, inventoried and documented appropriately.
  • AIUM recertification – complete application for recertification with help from lead sonographer every 3 years.
  • Ensure adverse incident or patient safety issues are reported. Submit checklist and physician summary to the patient safety email, patientsafety@womenscarefl.com
  • Send patient reminders for preventative care (well women exams due) on monthly basis for all providers via email blast for web enable patients and letters for patients who are not web enabled.
  • If applicable; In-office surgery level II certification – ensure compliance with all policies and guidelines, updating manual on an on-going basis and coordinate re-inspection with the state of Florida on an annual basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse.
  • LPN with experience may substitute for RN
  • Minimum of one year nursing experience in a clinic environment.
  • Valid Florida state license and CPR certification.
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment under deadline situations.
  • Ability to communicate with coworkers and patients in an effective manner.
  • Ability to use a computer and enter data in a medical management application.

INTERACTIONS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must possess the ability to interact and communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of all internal personnel, providers, personnel of outside organizations, and patients and their family members.   Must possess good organizational skills, handle multiple tasks concurrently, and be able to work effectively with all levels of aforementioned groups. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances and other conditions common to a clinical environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.  Involves standing and walking.  Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds.  Requires normal visual acuity and hearing. Requires exposure to bodily fluids.
