Job Title:                Atlas Paper Southeast – Production Worker Entry Level

Atlas Sanford operation manufactures bath tissue and towel for both the at-home and away-from-home markets, producing large rolls of tissue that are either sold to the market or converted into a final product and packaged, either onsite or at its sister operation in Hialeah, Florida.  The mill’s products are sold to commercial and large retail customers located predominantly in the Southeastern U.S. under private-labels, or under Atlas Tissue’s own brands, including Windsor Place®, Green Heritage®, Harmony®, Bunny Soft® and Eversoft®.

Our company is seeking entry level production workers to carry out various tasks in our busy paper mill.  The ideal candidate will have some mechanical experience, excellent communication skills, and a high degree of mechanical aptitude. The successful applicant will be responsible for operating production equipment and work in a team orientated environment.  All qualified and responsible applicants are encouraged to apply. 

Position Details

• Maintain a safe and clean workplace
• Feed raw materials into production machinery
• Monitor the production process
• Perform basic quality and testing checks
• Use lifting equipment and forklifts to fulfill orders

Education & Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. required
• Manufacturing/warehouse experience preferred
• Knowledge of paper industry helpful, but not required

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills
• Ability to follow detailed instructions
• Ability to question when an issue out of the norm arises
• Basic mathematics, written, and verbal communication skills
• Able to use hands and arms to move and maneuver material and equipment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Able to bend, reach, up/down stairs, and stand for extended periods
• Exposure to dust, heat, and wet conditions
