The YMCA of Central Florida has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Wellness Director, Community Integrated Health (CIH) within our innovative corporate Health Strategies programs.  The ultimate goal of this program is to improve the health of the communities and people of Central Florida by offering a lifestyle management program that assists physicians and their patients to connect to a personalized lifestyle representative as well as appropriate Y signature health and prevention programs to achieve the goals set together with their primary care physician.

Under the direction and leadership of the Executive Director of Health Strategies and Member Experience, the incumbent is primarily responsible for community, evidenced-based health interventions. S/he will implement CIH programming that impacts the health outcomes of participants and shows an overall positive impact; including identifying and employing best practices in systems and technology to support effective delivery of the CIH programs.

The incumbent will work with health seekers, employers, community leaders, YMCA staff & leadership and representatives from the medical and insurance community. This individual must have a passion for service and improving the health of our community. They must also possess the ability to work with data, be detail orientated and have exceptional organizational and communication skills.

This individual will serve as a liaison between the YMCA Health Strategies program and community partners within our entire service area. Paying special attention to medical providers, health departments and like-minded community based organizations. S/he will align program goals and development strategies with those of the Brand Marketing and Membership Departments. Aid with communications, promotions, social media and educational materials, as well as work collaboratively with the membership department to ensure Association member satisfaction, conversion and retention goals are achieved.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; exercise science, wellness, fitness, sport management or related field of study preferred. 
  2. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in wellness or customer service related field preferred.
  3. Minimum 2-3 years YMCA wellness operations experience highly preferred. 
  4. ACE Health Coach Certification preferred.
  5. Microsoft Office proficiency required; Technogym/MyWellness Cloud Experience preferred.
  6. YMCA’s DPP, Livestrong, Enhance Fitness, Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring Program Certification(s) preferred.
  7. YMCA’s Listen First, Facilitating Change in Small Group training preferred.
  8. ACSM, NASM, NSCA or ACE Personal Training Certification required.
  9. NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist preferred.
  10. CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
  11. HIPAA Certification required.
