Human Resource Manager – (Florida & California)

Job Description

The Human Resources Manager responsibilities will include but are not limited to the list below.

  • recruiting and staffing;
  • processing payroll (California)
  • performance management and improvement
  • employment and compliance to regulatory concerns regarding employees;
  • employee onboarding, development, needs assessment, and training;
  • policy development and documentation;
  • employee relations;
  • company employee communication;
  • compensation and benefits administration;
  • employee safety, welfare, wellness and health;

A strong knowledge of California and Florida labor and employment laws is required.

The Human Resources Manager originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented; high-performance culture that emphasizes, quality, productivity, and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the development of processes and metrics that support the achievement of the organization's business goals.

The Human Resources Manager coordinates the implementation of people-related services, policies, and programs through reports to the CEO; and assists and advises company managers about Human Resources issues

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7 to 10 years of solid employee relations experience at a corporate level
  • Must have corporate or senior level recruiting experience
  • Detailed knowledge of FLSA, HIPAA, ADA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, AAP, EEO and related state and federal regulations required
  • Strong knowledge of California and Florida labor laws
