etech is an event technology systems integrator who helps our customers solve their technology challenges through our three core competencies: AV, Digital Signage and Event IT & Internet. We perform these services in hotels and convention centers for conferences, meetings, training programs, and product launches.  

We are seeking a “hands on” developer to create and design digital signage, and to set up and run the digital signage onsite at various events. This position will require travel on a regular basis. 

Role Overview, Requirements & Responsibilities:

• 1-3 years professional work experience with an emphasis on hard work and customer service
• Computer Programming or Information Technology degree or minor
• Experience/education designing and working with databases 
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware / software / internet problems
• Plan and organize digital signage projects, at times taking an active lead on an event
• Physically set and install monitors, network cabling and equipment to build temporary networks
• Experience writing code to connect to APIs and having a strong familiarity with other technologies used for data integration and processing like web services (REST, Soap, JSON) a plus. 
• Organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
• Provide personalized customer service with a sense of humor

Our ideal candidate should be a self-starter with a customer service background, possibly from the hospitality or restaurant industry in addition to strong technical skills. We are not seeking network or help desk technicians.

Work Hours: Working hours will vary based on the needs of the business and the support necessary to complete requested scope of work. This is not a 9 to 5 job, flexibility based on the need to support our clients is a must. Travel is expected to be up to 30% of the time.

Physical Requirements: Ability to perform job duties that may include an above average amount of lifting, 45lbs.+ on a regular basis, sitting, bending, stooping and standing is required and remaining engaged in core jobs duties for lengthy periods of time.

Compensation: This position is an hourly position and will be based on experience.  A “road” differential will be paid for travel.
