Description: To be fully engaged in providing Quality/No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship as the senior administrative leader for cardiovascular, imaging and surgical services.

Accountable to the President of Hospital Operations for the direction, coordination, management and leadership of procedural and surgical services at HRMC.

Directs clinical and administrative services within the following HRMC departments\: Cardiac Cath lab, GI lab, Special Procedures (IR-INR), Cardiac and Vascular Ultrasound, EEG, ECG, Cardiac Support departments, all imaging and transport departments, and the Perioperative Division to include Pre/Post/Operating Rooms and Central Sterile Processing.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES\: Works to meet or exceed all performance measurements set out annually on the Leadership Performance Scorecard for this position.

Engagement\: Establishes and maintains positive, effective communication and interpersonal relationships with associates, department managers, hospital and corporate administration, as well as Medical Staff department/committee chairmen and other members of Medical Staff.

Leads and motivates all reporting leadership and associate teams to meet and maintain a high standard of professional satisfaction.

Assists the President and Executive Team in determining priorities as necessary to meet the changing demands of the hospital through effective planning, implementation and evaluation of hospital goals and objectives.

Quality/No Harm\: As pertained to assigned areas, prepares and maintains documentation to pass regulatory agency inspections, including Joint Commission, AHCA, etc.

Provides opportunities for directors/managers/staff development and assures competency levels of staff are maintained.

Evaluates methodologies, systems, and programs of the hospital and implements necessary changes to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness that will result in improved patient care services.

Recommends action to the President in regard to equipment modifications, new equipment and essential construction within the departments.

Assists in the planning for all new department facilities and recommends facilities, equipment and personnel needs.

Directs departmental preparation for licensure and accreditation reviews and ensures standards are met.

Assess delivery of care and patient outcomes through rounds, committees, quality assessment and performance improvement activities and community surveys.

Promotes, plans and implements multi-disciplinary collaboration to ensure a coordinated approach to healthcare.

Defines educational needs and actively supports staff development activities.

Customer Experience\: Exhibits a visible presence in assigned patient care areas interacting with associates, patients and physicians.

Leads setting of strategic direction to empower associates to provide a positive patient experience.

Establishes and maintains a participative management environment supportive of developing and optimizing human potential in order to meet organizational goals/objectives and quality, customer satisfaction, employee engagement, operational effectiveness and fiscal responsibility.

Stewardship\: Collaborates with the President and CEO to assume responsibility for the preparation of objectives and operating forecasts for assigned areas at the beginning of the fiscal year.

Collaborates with Directors/Managers to promote personnel management in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Manages staffing and supply costs effectively and efficiently in a manner aligned with Health First goals.

Prepares and manages operating, personnel and capital budgets in a fiscally responsible manner.

Coordinates resources with an understanding of patient care needs, projected patient census and changes in healthcare technology.

Review and management of key performance indicators and reports abnormal findings to the President.

Qualification: Master's degree in Business Administration, Nursing Administration or related degree required.

Active Florida RN License.

Minimum of 8-10 years progressive management experience required in a healthcare setting.

Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

Excellent human and public relations skills necessary.

Must have demonstrated leadership skills.
