The Orange County Sheriff's Office in Orlando, Florida invites applicants to apply for the position of Human Resources Analyst.

Job Summary:

Performs human resources related functions and services in Recruiting and Selections to support the agency needs.

Qualifications:

  1. Must have an Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college and two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Ability to coordinate and manage all aspects of onboarding for new employees, including making appointments, organizing orientation dates, coordinating with speakers and vendors, and ensuring accurate completion of time-sensitive documents.
  3. Ability to facilitate and participate in discussions and present information in a group setting of sworn and civilian personnel regarding candidate files. Address large groups of individuals in a professional and organized manner for new hire orientations.
  4. Ability to utilize basic computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
  5. Must possess meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize information appropriately and have strong organizational management to meet very strict deadlines.
  6. Ability to read, write and interpret reports, correspondences and procedure manuals.
  7. Ability to interact with other Supervisors and HRD personnel to resolve candidate issues consistent with agency hiring standards.
  8. Ability to demonstrate good communication skills and present a positive image in person and over the phone when dealing with fellow employees, applicants, other agencies, and the general public.
  9. Ability to answer questions verbally or in writing regarding Human Resources issues. Respond to requests for documents and other information. May have to exercise some independent judgment in accordance with public records laws regarding disclosure.
  10. Ability to work with minimum supervision and demonstrate self-initiation; work on occasional evenings and weekends to attend career/job fairs and assist in the processing of candidates.
  11. Ability to gather, analyze, interpret and maintain confidential and sensitive information. Interact with candidates about sensitive issues by phone and in person. Maintain strict confidentiality of Human Resource and legal related issues.

Salary Range: $30,950 or $32,510 annually with 3+ years of experience
