SUMMARY

Project facilitator who guides cross functional teams in executing the principles of the Scrum framework. Acts as a servant leader to the team, and facilitates planning, team learning in the form of reviews and retrospectives, and adaptation of the process to ensure quality of team/solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures the tracking and reporting of development team’s activities.
  • Responsible for a development team’s planning a reasonable body of work for a given sprint
  • Responsible for removing impediments that prevent a team from completing the work it has negotiated for a given sprint.
  • Provide learning & growth opportunities for development team through periodic retrospectives.
  • Recommend process improvements to help team work more effectively.
  • Bring attention to work that is falling behind schedule.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &; ABILITIES:

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Agile and SCRUM principles
  • Project management principles and techniques.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of ministry procedures and operations.
  • Proficient in the Google suite of tools
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as proofing and editing skills.

ABILITY TO:

  • Work independently and demonstrate discernment and judgment in position and to act and anticipate the needs of the Team Leader or Director.
  • Be well-organized and demonstrate ability to multi-task
  • Coordinate effective meetings with onsite and remote team members across numerous time zones.
  • Encourage clear communication between team members
  • Work with diplomacy, and demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
  • Maintain a high degree of integrity with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and purpose of Cru.
  • Ability to learn new technology tools and be able to work on different platforms
  • Assist in conflict resolution.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Four year degree in Communication or Computer Science (or related) or equal work experience.  Desired experience in business analysis, product/project management, software development, QA or product development. Desired ScrumMaster Certification (CSM) and/or experience using Agile methods.
