Event Server

Drive Shack is where players of every slice or fade can kick back, kick it up, or kick aside everything they know about the game.  It’s where you can play the game your way, with your friends, the kids, or just with a couple of beers.  It’s the place where fun is bound to happen, no matter your drive.  

Drive Shack is an entertainment company that combines golf, competition, dining, and fun.  Those who want to enjoy the facility, but not play, can spectate from one of Drive Shack’s bar and restaurant areas, or spend time in the game lounge.  Drive Shack is poised to become the go-to entertainment outlet for golfers and non-golfers alike.  

The role of Event Server is to coordinate special events and guide guests through the Drive Shack experience with enthusiasm.  The Event Server will be knowledgeable of all of Drive Shack's offerings including the food, drinks, golf, and overall fun.

THE ROLE

• Enthusiastically greet and escort guests to their event areas
• Ensure that guests receive immediate, friendly, and personalized service
• Present the event menu and provide detailed information in regard to ingredients, allergy information, and options available
• Communicate the correct order details to the kitchen, ensure prompt delivery and continued service throughout the duration of the event
• Act as final check on the quality of food and beverage items, and collect on all payments due when applicable
• Prepare/reset event space and work stations to a like new environment including but not limited to bussing/pre-bussing tables, moving furniture, wiping down seats and tables, restocking needed utensils, sweeping floors, etc.
• Perform other duties as requested by management

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in the state of Florida
• Must be friendly, outgoing, and able to work in a fast-paced, high energy environment
• Work schedule varies and will include working on days, nights, holidays, and weekends and requires standing and/or walking for extended periods both indoors and outdoors
• Organizational, teamwork, and multi-tasking skills a must
• Must be able to regularly lift and or move up to 30 pounds and use force for up to 50 pounds
• One or more years of experience working as a food and beverage server/event server
• Experience with a cash-register and a point of sale system
• Food safety training/alcohol awareness certification is preferred
