Here at staySky Hotels & Resorts we are looking to hire an Resort Maintenance Supervisor to join out amazing Team!
Duties
Assists the Chief Maintenance Engineer with Planning, directing, coordinating, and/or budgeting, activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of lodging facilities and systems. Participate in the conceptual development of a project and oversee its organization, scheduling, and implementation.
Responsibilities/Functions/Tasks:
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in electrical/mechanical/plumbing systems (e.g. HVAC, boilers, fire systems, refrigeration systems, lighting, appliances and other hotel equipment)
- Conduct ongoing room preventative maintenance program.
- Resolve maintenance problems, complaints and work orders to prioritize and schedule work
- Carpentry and painting skills, as well as drywall and carpet repair work.
- Inspect property to identify potential and current needs
- Ensure department expenditures meet budget requirements
- Solicit bids from contractors and evaluating their proposals with hotel management (once contractor is selected and employed, ensuring work is completed to specifications)
- Coordinate with local health, safety, fire, and building inspectors to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations
- Ensure pool is properly maintained to include cleanliness and chemical content
- Maintain the building exterior if not serviced by a contractor (e.g. lawn care, painting, etc)
- Supervise and schedule maintenance staff
- Ability to fully participate in the Manager-On-Duty Program
- Able to work a minimum of 50 hours per week, days, nights and weekends; able to work “on call” as necessary
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with guests and staff
- Able to maintain all Quality Assurance standards and pass semi-annual inspections
- Perform any other duties assigned by Chief Engineer and/or General Manager
Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work a flexible shift including weekends and holidays.
- Review department log records and be familiar with pertinent information relevant to the daily shift.
- Review the hotel status and follow up actions with the previous shift.
- Ensure that after hours access into secured hotel areas are properly authorized, monitored and documented.
- Handle deliveries received during non-business hours.
- Respond to the scene of guest/employee accident promptly; administer first aid; communicate specified information to E.M.S./medical personnel as required.
- Communicate by radio with designated hotel personnel.
- Prepare work orders for maintenance repairs and submit to Engineering.
- Document all pertinent information in the log book daily and complete designated reports.
- Complete all paperwork and closing duties before leaving.
- High School/GED
- HVAC Certification prefer

Minimum 5 years experience in facility maintenance management.
HVAC experience is a huge plus.
