Program Director - Animation

The mission of The Los Angeles Film School is to inspire students with an inventive method of education that concentrates on preparation for career opportunities in the entertainment and media industry. We do this with a curriculum that integrates technical knowledge with artistic exploration and creativity, taught by a staff of industry professionals. Our education is delivered through reflective teaching methods and hands-on learning. Our programs are designed to immerse aspiring talent in industry practices and current technologies, enabling them to discover their individual voices through collaboration and realize their career goals in the entertainment industry.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Program Director with hands-on experience in the animation industry as well as experience​ teaching to manage our online degree program. The Program Director is responsible for hiring and training faculty, directing curriculum strategy and reviewing curriculum materials for quality, supporting students and student activities, participating in the marketing of the program, administrative management of the program, and participation in broader school activities.

Students of The Los Angeles Film School are creative professionals and entrepreneurs from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds worldwide. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Winter Park, FL working from local offices in support of The Los Angeles Film School.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum four years professional work experience in animation or a related field
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; master’s degree preferred
• Experience teaching and/or developing curriculum required, preferably including online
• At least 3 years of management/supervisory experience is required, preferably in an educational setting
• Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written
• Proficiency with relevant industry tools and technologies
• Competent using Apple/Microsoft computers and Microsoft Office applications
