Plumber

Job Description

Perform skilled and semi-skilled plumbing work in the maintenance and repair of plumbing systems, equipment, and fixtures.

Job Specific 

• Obtains needed supplies and equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Communicates with staff in accordance with established policy.
• Inspect boilers and plumbing systems in facilities.
• Performs a variety of repairs or replacement functions related to plumbing, minor electrical work related to water heaters, wiring or pumps and motors, etc.
• Repairs and replaces broken water and sewer lines.
• Clear sewer and drain lines, commodes. etc.
• Maintains, trouble-shoots and repairs boiler systems.
• Performs maintenance and installation functions associated with all water system equipment.
• Measures, cuts, threads, and assists in the installation of pipes and tubing.
• Repairs and replaces circulating pumps.
• Maintains equipment and supplies.
• Repairs and replaces valves and other plumbing components.
• Transports equipment to job sites as needed.
• Maintains well and wastewater systems as needed.
• Provides assistance to other crews as needed.
• Responds to offer hours emergencies as requested.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
• Follows established procedure.

Requirements

• Strong Mechanical Skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Previous training & experience in plumbing equipment.
• Excellent costumer service skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with customers.
• Comfortable with Windows-based software.
• Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow employees.
• Complies with required safety regulations and procedures.
• Complies with hotel standards, policies and rules.
• Ability to read and in interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, plans, sketches, blueprints and procedures manuals.
• Ability to write reports and correspondence. 
• ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral , or diagrams form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to read and in interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, plans, sketches, blueprints and procedures manuals.
• Ability to write reports and correspondence. 
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral , or diagrams form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Experienced required in diagnosing problems and taking necessary corrective action on all types of plumbing equipment.
• Valid state driver License.
