Director of Talent Management & Organizational Development (Human Resources)

The highly qualified individual we seek will lead all aspects of our Talent Management (TM) function including, but not limited to: talent acquisition, performance management, succession planning and retention, employee engagement, mentoring and advising, organizational development, total rewards and benefits, training and education, compliance, and employee relations. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, this position partners with leadership and management to develop and implement TM/OD programs, systems, policies, practices, structures, process improvements, and meaningful culture-enhancing initiatives that align with the Clerk of Courts’ values, goals, and vision.

We seek a bright, team-oriented, solutions-focused, authentic leader who can build trust and function proactively as a business partner using diplomacy, transparency, professionalism, integrity, and creativity. The ideal candidate will possess self-awareness, credibility, good judgment, genuineness, the ability to positively influence and motivate others, and the ability to build consensus across functions while facilitating healthy change and respect for the culture. A passion for organizational development, mentoring, accountability, and collaboration a must.  

A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field required.  Master’s degree in HR, Business Management, or a related field preferred.   SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred. Must have a minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible TM experience, with at least 6 of these years in a managerial position. Considerable and current knowledge of employment laws and regulations and TM best practices required. Knowledge and experience with OD concepts and tools required. Must possess substantial knowledge of compensation systems and must have deep experience in employee relations. Exceptional communication skills and presentation ability required. Conceptual thinking and analytical decision-making skills required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment, meeting deadlines and commitments.  Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS applications required. Local travel required.
