POSITION SUMMARY: The primary function for the CNC Machinist III is to facilitate the machining of raw material to final product for delivery to the customer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
• Read and understand work orders, setup sheets, inspection drawings, schedule and process flow

•Must be familiar with turning, as well as milling processes and procedures

• Advanced operation (set up and operate) of CNC mills, lathes, bar feeders,
• Adjusting machine axes, home position, turret positions, calibration of probe and tool setter, advanced knowledge of G & M Codes

• Fluent in EIA and Mazatrol programs, ability to make manual changes
• Advanced use of CAD/CAM software (Surfcam and Camworks), ability to program complex 3 & 5 axis parts
• Advanced knowledge of milling, turning, mill/turn fixturing techniques and tooling (including sub-spindle work)

• Ability to setup and program new jobs on CMM (including setup of new stylus systems)
• Advanced knowledge of GD&T

• Solidworks CSWA or equivalent

PROGRAM AND COMPUTER SKILLS: 
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the following:
• Intermediate knowledge of Windows PC including MS Office (Word, Excel)
• Intermediate to advanced computer programming knowledge
• Advanced use of Mazak and Fanuc control systems
• Familiar with software: MX setup, Tracking, Wiki, google forms including but not limited to:  WO scheduling sheet, time log, scrap log, broken tool log, maintenance WO log, etc.
• Use of inventory software and MSC cabinet

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
HS Diploma/GED

7-10+ yrs. experience in CNC manufacturing
