Online Program Director - Digtal Filmmaking

The Los Angeles Film School is seeking a Program Director for its online baccalaureate degree in Film. This is a full-time position at the school’s distance education facility located in Winter Park, Florida.  

The mission of The Los Angeles Film School is to inspire students with an inventive method of education that concentrates on preparation for career opportunities in the entertainment and media industry. We do this with a curriculum that integrates technical knowledge with artistic exploration and creativity, taught by a staff of industry professionals. Our programs are designed to immerse aspiring talent in industry practices and current technologies, enabling them to discover their individual voices through collaboration and realize their career goals in the entertainment industry.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Program Director is responsible for hiring and training faculty, directing curriculum strategy and reviewing curriculum materials for quality, supporting students and student activities, participating in the marketing of the program, administrative management of the program, and participation in broader school activities. 

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Winter Park, FL.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least four years’ professional work experience in film production or a related field required
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required; master’s degree preferred
• Must have experience teaching online courses at the postsecondary level
• Must have management/supervisory experience in an educational setting 
• Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written
• Proficiency with relevant industry tools and technologies
• Competent using Apple/Microsoft computers and Microsoft Office applications
