: Responsible for leading the development and execution of dynamic communications strategies supporting the Fire Control/SOF GLSS Rotary Wing & Ground Programs portfolio, including Apache, Turreted Systems, Future Vertical Lift and Armed Black Hawk sensor suite programs.
These strategies will include an integrated communications approach, employing media relations, marketing communications, employee communications, trade show, social and multimedia web disciplines.
The Communications Associate Manager will report directly to the Sr.
Communications Manager for the Fire Control/SOF GLSS Line of Business and lead a team of two Communications professionals.
This will directly support the Fire Control/SOF GLSS Rotary Wing & Ground Programs executive and team, and is based in Orlando, Florida.
The role requires significant collaboration and coordination with Lockheed Martin senior executives, business partners, government customers and Public Affairs officials.
Must have ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
Basic Superior communications skills with strong writing and editing ability.
Experience in supporting and providing trusted council to senior executives; leading and developing integrated strategic communications efforts to include both internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
Able to plan, organize and support media relations, marketing, employee communications, trade show, social media and multimedia activities.
Possesses strong strategic communications and media acumen, with proven experience delivering key business results and success measures.
Desired skills Knowledge of the domestic and international aerospace and defense industries.
Familiarity with Lockheed Martin products and business practices desirable.
Expertise in AP style.
Experience planning and executing business capture and keep sold communications campaigns.
Prior experience leading a team a plus.
