POSITION: Customer Service Rep
RESPONSIBLE TO: Medical Records Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for providing answering and processing requests/records from OOC WC customers.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma required

- Ability to handle heavy phone call volume

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Answer incoming calls within 2-3 rings and return messages within 24 hours
- Assist WC adjusters and case managers with their records request (processing requests within 2-3 business days of receipt, if requested records are available)
- Fax office notes and DWC25s to WC within 24 hours of becoming available
- Forward to UHS office and procedure notes within 3 date of service, and DWC25 within 24 hours of DWC25s becoming available.
- Handle WC related complaints/concerns with a professional attitude
Additional support tasks
- Perform general office duties such as typing, operating office machines, and sorting records
- Manage messages/emails, processing requests in order of their priority
- Process patients/other providers records requests as necessary to help team
- Any other task assigned by the Medical Records Supervisor

Typical Physical Demands
Position requires sitting, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing approximately up to 30-35 pounds. Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment is also required. Employee must have normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Employee must be in good physical condition to be able to lift boxes and push cart full of charts to different locations. Employee will work under stressful conditions.
Typical Working Conditions
Normal office environment. Occasional evening or weekend work.
