The Financial Aid Internal Audit Administrator is responsible for the review of our student files and internal processes, to ensure compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Audit Team Manager and Associate Director of Compliance
  • Coordinate and communicate to other team members and Management as required
  • Frequent reporting requirements to different levels within the organization
  • Review student files, generate reports and review processes
  • Review and audit records to ensure compliance and to prevent repeat findings
  • Attend CAT Meetings (Compliance, Audit and Training), as required
  • Monitor compliance in the areas of Title IV Federal Regulations, Cash management, Institutional eligibility and Student eligibility
  • Resolve compliance issues identified in all affected areas
  • Prepare and adhere to annual and monthly schedules for completion of audit or file review requirements including file tracking
  • Assist with updating audit or file review criterion as regulations or policies change
  • Assists with maintenance and update of Audit Training Workbook
  • Conduct or assist with training of staff, as needed

Other Responsibilities:

  • Any additional projects or duties, as assigned


  • Solid interpersonal and organizational skills, communications capabilities and technology skills needed
  • Strong business and finance administration knowledge
  • Basic accounting skills with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to produce business correspondence, proofread for grammar, spelling and punctuation with a high degree of accuracy
  • Some customer support experience is desirable, but not mandatory
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree and a minimum of two years of experience in an office environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience required

Computer/Equipment Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite essential; Experience with Campus Vue Preferred, but not required

Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:

May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds.
