We are seeking a Programmer Analyst to join our Information Technology (IT department).  This individual will define, test, analyze, and maintain new software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing, software programs and applications. S/he will also plan, coordinate, architect, and supervise all activities related to the integration of software programs, applications, and third-party solutions as required to meet the business requirements of the organization. This individual will oversee testing of the interoperability of application modules under development by software development teams, commercial off-the-shelf software, and cloud based software as a service.

Please note, this is not a remote position, the incumbent must be willing and able to work onsite at our corporate YMCA office located in Downtown, Orlando, Florida.

Job Responsibilities

  • Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications.
  • Run and monitor performance tests on new and existing software for the purposes of correcting mistakes, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
  • Liaise with company’s network administrators, software and hardware suppliers for prompt rectification of any problems or emergencies.
  • Write programming script to enhance functionality and/or appearance of company applications.
  • Ensure data integration between company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
  • Work with business and application development to create and manage data queries.
  • Prioritize, schedule, and administer all instances where enhancements and defect resolution are required.
  • Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance, including the installation of service packs, patches, hot fixes, and anti-virus software.
  • Implement audit, logging, and monitoring solutions to provide proactive operational support in the AI environment.

Education, Training and Experience

  • Four-year college diploma or university degree in software engineering or computer science, and/or 2 years equivalent work experience.
  • Certifications in specific programming areas.
  • 2 years direct experience in software development and/or programming design and systems management.
  • Experience with the Force.com platform and Salesforce suite of applications Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Marketing Cloud.
  • Technically fluent in one or more of the programming languages, including APEX, Visualforce, SQL, Javascript, and Java.
  • Experience working with REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Extensive database and operating systems experience with Force.com, Oracle, Microsoft Sequel.
  • Experienced with Agile and software development life cycle.
  • Hands-on software troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience using integration tool (JItterbit, Mulesoft, Dell Boomi) preferred.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of database design and file management techniques.
  • Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
