Intern - Marketing and Communications

Enterprise Florida, Inc. (EFI) is a public-private partnership between Florida’s business and government leaders and is the principal economic development organization for Florida. EFI’s mission is to expand and diversify the state’s economy through job creation.

The marketing intern will be part of a team that is responsible for promoting the state of Florida as a top business destination, both domestically and internationally, as well as supporting the marketing and communications needs of EFI’s other departments.
 

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES or TASKS:

• Provide support for Marketing and Communications with reporting efforts (monthly and quarterly)
• Assist in the distribution or delivery of marketing materials as well as maintain inventory for print and digital media buys
• Work with communications team on researching/posting organic social media content
• Maintain inventory for print and digital media buys
• Work on content creation related to social media, press announcements, general marketing copy
• Conduct industry and company research (market/competitive research, SWOT analysis, etc.)
• Assist with CRM and automation efforts including email marketing, reporting and lead management
• Participate in planning sessions to develop strategy for various marketing programs

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (Sophomore/Junior preferred) in Marketing, Communications or Advertising
• Must have demonstrated knowledge of Excel and Word. Skills in other MS Office programs a plus
• Must have good business and creative writing, editing and proofreading skills
• Must have knowledge of traditional, digital and social media marketing concepts
• Must be detail oriented, with project management and organizational skills
• Must be a quick learner with a positive attitude
• The ability to work with limited supervision
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
• Ability to articulate complex ideas simply
