Electrical Healthcare Project Manager

Job Description

As a Healthcare Project Manager, it is your responsibility to manage and drive the electrical construction of various Commercial projects. This position is responsible to prepare, organize, execute and control construction contracts to meet company objectives regarding cost, quality, equipment conservation and safety. This position will provide overall management for multiple large projects, usually complex in nature with minimal supervision. Participates in the conceptual development of a project and oversees its organization, scheduling and implementation. This is an opportunity to BUILD your career with Tri-City!

What you’ll do:

  • The ability and business acumen to drive the electrical construction process to beat budget and schedule while providing the highest quality product and service to stakeholders.
  • Provide weekly, accurate onsite surveys of cost to complete in conjunction with lead field personnel.
  • Strong electrical Project Management experience within the Healthcare industry.
  • Plan, organize and direct the procurement of materials needed for project construction using established procedures for submittal processing and subsequent material management.
  • Review and process contracts for construction with GC to establish need and issue sub-contracts as necessary.
  • Monitor, document and control the project thought updated construction schedules and use of scheduling software.
  • Determine manpower needs based upon these schedules.
  • Conduct review of initial job estimate and take ownership of the construction estimate for budgeting projections.
  • Conduct and attend all project meetings.
  • Document, report and prepare information, as necessary, for all job delays/accelerations presented for cost reimbursements. Responsible for accurate reporting a project cost through the use of quantitative reporting, project surveying and job cost month end processing.
  • Prepare and provide, as necessary, monthly project billings, manpower requirements and job cost analysis.
  • Discipline and counsel/coach employees as needed.
  • When necessary, discharge employees in accordance with TCE policies and procedures.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of project plans, specifications and job folder contract scope.
  • Responsible for project close-out/turnover with GC.
  • Initiate and conduct follow up for “in-house” project closeout.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with vendors, owners and internal business partners. Keep abreast of current trends and developments in the field, read technical and trade journals, and participate in activities of professional associations

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Working knowledge of Local and National Electrical Code requirements
  • 3-5 years’ supervisory experience in Electrical construction with a Healthcare focus
  • A passion for learning and the drive to succeed
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Negotiating skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate at a minimum 12th grade level
