Westgate Housekeeping Supervisor

As a WG Housekeeping Supervisor you will supervise work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive rooms in assigned resort area.   Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and take corrective action. May be responsible to monitor housekeeping supplies and equipment, take periodic inventories, screen applicants, train new employees, and recommend dismissals.

Scope:  Responsible for consistently meeting quality and timeliness standards in the supervision of housekeeping staff. A Supervisor must ensure the company mission statement and values are followed, always looking out for the best interests of the company, its employees and customers.

  • Develop and maintain a high standard of excellence amongst the staff.
  • Assist in training and development of staff, both existing and new
  • Examine carpets, drapes, furniture for stains, damage or wear and report as needed
  • Inspect and prepare clean units before turning them to vacant and clean for guest occupancy
  • Supervise all assigned rooms quickly, neatly and efficiently.
  • Complete the required amount of units assigned each assigned work day
  • Report Engineering issues as described by established company procedure to Resort Services
  • Clean units including but not limited to kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, balcony and/or patios as needed utilizing the established STEPS
  • Replace housewares and supplies as needed
  • Assist and monitor the organization of storage closets of linen and housewares
  • Supervise all assigned rooms quickly, neatly and efficiently.
  • Report all lost and found items to Resort Services and Executive Housekeeper
  • Ensure all resort equipment and property is treated with care to avoid unnecessary damage.
  • Attend all training meetings and sessions
  • Maintain a safe and hazardous free work area
  • Complete all other duties assigned.

Quality

  • Maintain a high standard of excellence. 
  • Strip units of soiled linens and remove all trash.
  • Supervise units including but not limited to bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, closets, decks.
  • Bathrooms – Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes.
  • Bedrooms –Strip and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting of all soiled linen weighing about 25 lbs. or more.
  • Report damaged, dirty or stained carpets, drapes, furniture and linens.
