Guest Services Agent

Job Title:         Guest Services Agent/PBX           

Department: Guest Services   

Reports To:   Director of Guest Services Operations     

Overview/Position Purpose:

The Guest Services Agent/PBX is a point of contact for guests in servicing any needs related to their Give Kids The World vacation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete all necessary and related Front Desk/Guest Services responsibilities as required
• Support communication with all departments (from Operations to Development) regarding any guest service issues, identifying and communicating any and all items needing attention and support
• Daily communication with appropriate operating departments regarding safety and cleanliness
• Ensure volunteer coverage of Guest Service areas
• Support the maintenance of Guest Services equipment, vehicles, tools, items at highest level of quality
• Adhere to standards for quality, efficiency, and productivity
• Assist in Media Center as needed
• Assist in PBX as needed
• Adherence to attendance standards
• Additional duties as assigned

Physical Demands Beyond Office Environment:

• Ability to lift and move boxes, cartons, and/or medical equipment and/or luggage weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

Qualifications and Specific Skills:

• Ability to communicate, understand, speak, read, and write English to communicate with Departments, volunteers, guests, vendor participants, etc.
• PC skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• In House System – RAVEN
• Decisive and creative problem solving skills
• Flexibility to meet the needs of guests, staff, volunteers, participants, etc.
• Must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily
• Able to work with and provide direction and support to Guest Services Volunteers
• Ability to operate a motorized vehicle, including a battery-operated golf cart
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Education/Experience Required:

• Must have High School Diploma
• At least 1+ years of previous guest services experience (hotel/resort preferable)
