Job Title:           Entertainment Coordinator

Department:    Entertainment

Reports To:      Director of Entertainment

Overview/ Position Purpose

Primarily oversees daily operation of Village Entertainment. Coordinators may focus on one or more of the following Entertainment areas: venues, shows, personalizations and character program.

Duties and Responsbilities:

  • Create and/or maintain the show or event for which they are accountable and support all other Entertainment shows
  • Ensure communication channels between Entertainment and all Village departments are open and clear
  • Assist with the care and maintenance of Village costumed characters
  • Maintain all Entertainment venues, storage areas and office organized as "show ready"
  • Required use of Village transportation including company vehicles and golf carts
  • Ensure proper inventory supply levels for Entertainment venues and shows are maintained
  • Act as liaison between scheduled outside performers and the Village when necessary
  • Create "Magical Memories" and assist with individual Wish Personalizations
  • Train all volunteers for Entertainment shows and venues
  • Operate and train all volunteers to run attractions
  • Complete volunteer orientation for all show and events
  • Remove litter and debris from around venues and Avenue
  • Maintain safety at all times while scheduled
  • Adherence to attendance standards
  • Additional duties as assigned

Physical Demands Beyond Normal Office Environment:

  • Regularly required to walk, stand, bend, crouch, balance, and use hands/arms to lift/move objects
  • Ability to work outside for extended periods of time in varied weather conditions
  • Shift requirements; ability to work evenings and weekends, holidays, extended hours both on and off property
  • Ability to lift and transfer 50 lbs.

  • Must be comfortable in front of large crowds and on a microphone
  • Must have basic technical know-how and ability to learn Audio/Visual set up and operation
  • Must utilize time management to the fullest
  • Must be able to handle multiple volunteers in any given shift
  • Must have good communication skills to work with outside entertainment, staff, volunteers and Wish Families
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English (Spanish a plus)
  • Computer skills to include- Outlook, Excel, Word and Access
  • Ability to operate a motorized vehicle, including battery-operated golf carts
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Education/ Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • 1-2 years Entertainment or Event experience
  • Hospitality experience preferred
