Position: Access Control Technician specializing in Networking
Location: Orlando, FL
Armstrong Lock and Security Products has an opening in the Access Control Department. This position is full time (overtime as needed) and demands an individual who can multitask in a fast paced environment. Why choose Armstrong? Responsibilities
- Installation of Access Control and CCTV systems using ladders and hand tools
- Must be comfortable working LAN, including routers, switches, and other networking devices
- Service and installation of manual and automatic entry doors and hardware
- Troubleshoot and repair access control systems, power supplies, card readers, etc.
- Locksmith installations including mag locks, electric strikes, and other low voltage systems
- Running wire through attics and crawl spaces to install all necessary devices
- Communicate with customers before, during, and after the installation process in regards to schedule changes, delays, RFI's, and systems testing
- Maintain and submit accurate paperwork and documentation
- Attend organizational meetings
- Manage time and meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Always provide excellent customer service
- Work independently or within a team on daily tasks and projects
- Employee is responsible for providing their own hand tools; specialty tools will be provided
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- 2+ years of CCTV and Access Control Installation experience highly preferred but not required
- Proficiency with cloud-based operating systems and LAN processes
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Clean background check, driving record, and able to pass a drug test
- Basic knowledge of mechanical door hardware
- Ability to lift/maneuver 80 lbs
- Ability to take direction and follow through to find a resolution
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and demonstrate organizational skills
- Alarm system knowledge a plus, but not required
- Perform other duties as required
