SUMMARY:

Maintaining of the EFT and Credit Card donation processes including all types of donation entry and batch authorization. Thoroughly analyze and research donation inquiries and account declines related to contributions given to staff and ministry accounts.  Make corrections as needed using IRS and Cru guidelines, as well as communicate results via phone, email, fax and written correspondence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process credit card donations received by mail including fund appeal responses and donor credit card giving forms.
  • Create EFT and Credit Card batches, import declines from the bank and Credit Card company as well as submit into completion all EFT and Credit Card transactions on a daily basis.
  • Research errors resulting from declined transactions, including invalid account numbers, lost or stolen cards, and expired cards.  Contact the donor by phone or letter for corrections and obtain verbal or written authorization to reprocess the gift.
  • Receive and thoroughly analyze high volume of complex requests from donors, staff and ministries related to bank account and credit card contribution processing using all available resources; determine appropriate course of action and follow-through with a response to the donor and others to ensure both customer satisfaction and effective internal procedures.
  • Research cause(s) of processing errors and communicate suggestions on ways to eliminate further occurrences to appropriate personnel.
  • Scan paper backup of credit card gifts using OPEX scanner, verify batches in RTLFirst, and create image archive in FirstView.
  • Handle all communication to donors with a high level of confidentiality and professional courtesy.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

AA degree plus knowledge of administrative practices and procedures and one to three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Able to perform alpha-numeric keying at 7,500 keystrokes per hour with 5% error rate or less.
