Feeding Children Everywhere (FCE) is a non-profit organization that ‘activates people for a hunger-free world’.  To date, FCE has distributed over 100 million meals to hungry people across the globe and has mobilized over 600,000 volunteers.

The organization focuses efforts around addressing hunger and the root causes.  The program vehicles include:

  • Hunger Projects - high energy corporate, church or civic social responsibility events that mobilize thousands of volunteers across the US to hand-package healthy meals for hungry people
  • Full Cart - a meal delivery service for hard working individuals and families to extend their grocery budget and connect them with life-changing career resources
  • Disaster Relief - a program that activates people to package disaster relief meal kits in immediate response to natural disasters
  • International Development - community transformation projects that include the improvement of education, agriculture, women’s health initiatives and economic development
  • Micro-Farming - community farming efforts that make nutrient rich foods accessible in food desserts

POSITION SUMMARY

For this position, we are looking for someone willing to live out of a suitcase, see the world and make a huge impact in the fight against hunger. The ideal candidate is a go-getter, not afraid to get their hands dirty, highly attentive to detail and is passionate about working with clients and volunteers alike. This person must have a completely open schedule with the flexibility to travel across the country. This position is client centric and will work side by side with our Event lead to host Hunger Projects with different schools, churches, corporations and organizations. The responsibilities are similar to a warehouse role and would include event logistics, shipping and receiving, meal distribution, leading the labor force and setup of our events and ensuring food product is being used and palletized within food safety guidelines. If NYC Pizza on Monday, Chicago style hotdogs on Wednesday and Famous Southern BBQ on Friday sounds like a dream week, this position may be right for you!

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Traveling to and leading Hunger Project event logistics
  • Loading and unloading trucks and shipments to and from our regional warehouses
  • Operating pallet jacks/electric pallet jacks
  • Ensuring overall safety and sanitation at events, including food safety guidelines
  • Serving as the main point of contact for meal distribution partners
  • Coordinating onsite meal distribution pickup/delivery
  • Connecting with clients/partners and maintaining professionalism
  • Laying electricity to power equipment
  • Lifting 50Ib bags of meal products
  • Overseeing event staff and interns
  • Training and supervising groups of volunteers
  • Preparing and shrink wrapping shipments
  • Labeling shipments properly with BOL’s and Lot Codes.
  • Driving cars, sprinter vans, box trucks, etc to transport project materials to event site as needed

  • YOU EAT YOUR WHEATIES: Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs and remain on your feet for several hours
  • YOU REMEMBER THE 90’S: Must be 25 years of age or older
  • YOU KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE ROAD: Must have a clean driving history
  • YOU’VE BEEN AROUND THE BLOCK: 1-2 Years Experience in Logistics or Warehouse (preferred)
