DFWP EOE Essential Job Functions:

• Processes all paper work relating to new hires, terminations, and personnel changes including: background checks, drug screenings, I-9’s and W-4’s

• Maintains human resources, payroll and medical files for employees • Enrolls and updates, employees in payroll & timekeeping system

• Coordinates and communicates with payroll personnel to ensure accurate information has been input

• Creates and issues employee number for all new hires to sign into timeclock system and coordinates with security for entry badge

• Reviews self service payroll instructions with all new hires • Reviews benefits with all new hires

• Orders name tags and business cards for new hires as appropriate • Responds to request to produce employee records

• Provides information for updates to digital signage in conjunction with HR Manager & Communications staff

• Processes unemployment claims & verifications of employment • Maintains T-bill gift card program

• Publishes job openings, schedules interviews, conducts background checks and random drug testing

• Reviews background checks and elevates concerns to management for determinations as to if candidates meet qualifications

• Creates and evaluates job descriptions for content and compliance

• Assists with the administration of employee events & employee rewards program

• Ensures all new employees enroll or decline in medical, dental and supplemental insurance programs

• Assists as needed with insurance renewals including attending renewal meetings and reporting positive and negative aspects of insurance programs from employees’ perspectives

• Helps facilitate and promote wellness activities

• Reports injuries to workers’ compensation carrier

• Serves as a member of Safety Committee

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in human resources

• Associates degree in Human Resources or Business or equivalent job related experience

• Bilingual (Spanish and English) strongly preferred

• Excel, Word and HRIS experience preferred

• Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated

• Must be able to multi-task and meet dead lines

• Must have exceptional customer service skills

• Must have a valid driver’s license and qualify for coverage with company’s auto insurance carrier

• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English
